Health Qigong Modules:

Designed to be learnt sequentially or pick & choose based on your requirements. Passed on via personal training or group workshops these modules cover various aspects of Health Qigong practices.

Qigong Self Massage: Qigong massage techniques are useful relieve muscular stress and blockages in the Qi circulatory system. Based on the how human energy circulates in the body and how to enhance it, these Self Massage techniques invigorate the entire body. Simple self massage practices which you can do any time of the day and irrespective of location or space

Six Healing Sounds (Liu Zi Jue 六字訣): These are specific sounds that you make to cleanse, cool off, and heal the major internal organs. The Six Healing Sounds are used to get us in touch with our five major internal organs: the lungs, kidneys , liver, heart, spleen & triple warmer or the 3 dantians.

Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin 八段錦): Eight-Section Brocade, Eight Silken Movements or Eight Silk Weaving are synonyms of the Ba Duan Jin which is the most common forms of Chinese qigong primarily designated as a form of medical qigong to improve health. These eight simple qigong exercises form characterize and impart a silken quality to the body and its energy (like a piece of brocade i.e. rich fabric woven with a raised pattern, typically with gold or silver threads).

Taoist Yoga (Tao Yin 導引): The practice of Tao Yin (deep stretching) is a precursor of Higher qigong practices. Also known as Taoist yoga, these series of yoga-like deep stretching exercises were practiced by Taoists to cultivate qi, the internal energy of the body according to the principles of Traditional Chinese medicine. Tao yin’s main goal is to create balance between internal and external energies, revitalize the body, mind & spirit and develop strength and flexibility in muscles and tendons.

Five Animal Frolics Play (Wu Qin Xi 五禽戲): One of the earliest forms of Medical Health Qigong – “Wu Qin Xi” i.e. the “Play of Five Animals” is a set of Taoyin (deep stretching) & Tu Na (deep breathing) exercises which imitates the actions of five animals Tiger, Deer, Bear, Monkey and Crane based on their habits. Each animal has two exercises corresponding to the yin & yang internal organs. Regular practise of this Qi Gong is said to improve functioning of the Liver/Gall Bladder (Tiger), Kidneys/Bladder (Deer), Spleen/Stomach (Bear), Heart/Small Intestine (Monkey) and Lung/Large Intestine (Crane).

Taichi Qigong: The based on the snake & the crane movements the Tai Chi Qigong forms the internal foundation of Tai Chi & other Snake & Crane kung fu styles like Wing Chun. Taichi Qigong develops the strength and flexibility of the body, increases your vitality, and promotes deep relaxation.These set of exercises loosen your joints, warms up your muscles, stimulates your Qi (energy) flow, and sharpens your concentration making you ready for any physically & mentally challenging activities.

Silk Reeling (Chan Si Xing 纏絲精): Silk reeling refers to a set of internal (neigong) movements which mimic the twisting & spiraling movements of the silkworm larva as it wraps itself in its cocoon. The actions must be smooth and consistent without jerks or sharp directional changes so as to draw out the silk successfully. Too fast, the silk breaks, too slow, it sticks to itself and becomes tangled hence silk reeling movements are continuous, cyclic, spiraling patterns performed at constant speed with the "light touch" of drawing silk.

Muscle / Tendon change classic (Yi Jin Jing易筋经): Legacy of Bodhidharma (Damo) these 12 exercises from ancient Indian warriors are a key element of the physical conditioning used in Shaolin training. Yi means "transformation", Jin means "tendons and sinews", while jing means "methods" roughly translated as “Muscle / Tendon Transformation methods” is an intense form of exercise that strengthens the muscles and tendons, promoting strength and flexibility, speed and stamina, balance and coordination of the body. Getting this priceless treasure back to India is one of the greatest achievements of IWCA research team.
